Privacy Policy
Just Roll is operated by Competitive Metrics LLC ("we", "us"), the data controller for the Just Roll app and this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we show no ads, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account — your email address (sign-in and account recovery).
- Profile — your handle, display name, bio, belt rank and stripes, and optionally your city and state.
- Training logs — the sessions you record: gi/no-gi, duration, rounds, submissions for/against, techniques, and notes.
- Competition records — events you enter, matches, results, and placements you log.
- Gym membership — the gym you join, your role in it, and your position on its leaderboard.
- Content you post — posts, comments, reactions, follows, and any reports or blocks you submit.
- Device push tokens — if you enable notifications, the token Apple assigns your device so we can deliver them.
- Location — if you grant location permission, your device's location is used to find gyms near you and to power nearby-member discovery. We store an approximate coordinate on your profile for this; you can decline the permission and search by city and state instead.
- Photos and video — images and video you choose to add, such as a profile picture or media attached to a session or post. We access your camera or photo library only when you pick something.
- AI Coach memory — if you use the AI Coach, physical attributes you choose to share in chat (such as your height, build, flexibility, and any injuries you mention) so it can tailor advice to your body. You can view and delete this any time in the app, or turn it off.
We do not collect your contacts or any advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Location is collected only with your permission and only for the gym and member-discovery features described above.
How we use it
- To run the app: your feed, streaks, leaderboards, gym features, and competition record.
- To deliver push notifications you've opted into (reactions, comments, gym activity).
- To keep the community safe: enforcing our Community Guidelines, reviewing reports, and removing content that breaks the rules.
- To respond when you contact support.
Who processes it

These providers process data only on our instructions. We don't share your data with advertisers or data brokers — there are none here.
What other users see
Your handle, display name, belt, bio, city/state (if set), your posts and comments, and your place on your gym's leaderboard are visible to other Just Roll users per your post visibility settings. Your email address and raw training notes are never shown to other users unless you put them in a post yourself.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (or by emailing us), which removes your profile and personal data; some moderation records may be retained where required for safety or legal reasons. Content you removed may persist briefly in backups before being purged.
Children
Just Roll accounts are for users 13 and older, or the higher local minimum age where one applies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 for the purpose of giving that child an account. If we learn that we hold account data from a child under 13, we delete it promptly.
Separately, a gym may record information about a junior student (name, rank, attendance, curriculum progress) as described in the Terms. That information is provided by the gym under the consent it is required to obtain, is not tied to any account the child can access, and is never used for advertising or profiling. A parent or legal guardian may email support@justrollhq.com to access, correct or delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the version and effective date here and ask you to re-accept material changes in the app.
